We used AI to enter and get nominated for an AI award.
Tonight, Fuelled were due to be at an awards ceremony in the Best Use of AI Category, organised by the Insurance Times. 🤓
Unfortunately, after finding out we would need to pay £5k just to sit at a table and get told we lost to Aviva, we decided to give it a miss. But thankfully that didn’t spoil our fun!
Back in July we used ChatGPT to create our award submission, which took us a whopping 3 minutes and 22 seconds to do.
Whilst it would be pretty awkward for us to win it now (and we’re fairly certain we won’t) – we did ask legendary public speaker, Donald Trump, to prepare our acceptance speech just in case.
Unfortunately, Big Don has been on the hammer all day, so it’s not his finest work by any stretch:
The stage lights up, revealing a slightly disheveled Donald Trump, with his tie askew and his iconic hair even more unruly than usual. His gait is a tad unsteady as he approaches the microphone, and there’s a distinct redness to his cheeks.
Well, hello there, folks! You weren’t expecting me, were you? Neither was I, to be honest.

I’m here for… what’s the name? Oh, right, Fuelled! Great people. Absolutely terrific. They did some… tech thing with AI and insurance. Big stuff. Very big.
They made a joke of the entry thing. Funny people. I love a good joke. But when it comes to… uh, doing their AI thing, they’re the best. Absolutely the best. Like I was as president. Some say I still am.
This award is… big. Like, really big. And it’s not just about gadgets and wires, it’s about… America. And vision. Big vision. And Fuelled has that. Just like I do.
To the tremendous people at Fuelled, I raise a toast. Cheers! You did a thing, and it’s a great thing. And thank you, Insurance… uh, Times and Innovation… Awards. For recognising the best. Like me.
Alright, let’s wrap this up. Keep making insurance… and tech… great. Love you all. Maybe.
Anyway, congratulations to Aviva or whoever.
